Fauna

The diverse and varied landscapes of the Senne and the adjacent Teutoburg Forest create a wide variety of habitats with heaths, dry sandy lawns, flowing and still waters, moors and forests as well as grassland and fields. Adapted to these sometimes extreme living conditions, in addition to plants, numerous animal species have made the Senne and the Teutoburg Forest a hotspot for biodiversity.
